After a year of providing operational support and streamlining the BTC operation, BTMC was given full management and operational control over the BTC – SGS cluster.

The new management style introduced by BTMC made the cluster it was managing the most profitable BTC cluster, allowing it to embark on a successful re-fleeting program and enabling it to acquire additional vehicles using its own funds, making it the cluster with the most number of vehicles and latest modeled units.

Due to its success, BTMC, last 2002, embarked on a more ambitious program and was granted a franchise by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to operate its own fleet of vehicles.  Last November 2004, BTMC capped another successful year and moved to its new home, a bigger , more spacious and modern office and maintenance facility covering an area of Four Thousand (4,000) Square Meters at Market Ave. which is strategically located in the Center of Pasig City.  From the time BTMC was awarded its own franchise, the fleet of vehicles which it operates and which carries its trade name Basic Taxi has grown to a total of Two Hundred (200) Units and has been continuously growing at an average vehicle growth rate of three units a month.

To add to its list of accomplishments BTMC, last June 2006 was adjudged by the SAFETY ORGANIZATION OF THE PHILIPPINES INC. (SOPI), as “The Most Outstanding Taxi Operator for 2005”.

The Safe, Efficient, and Worry free transport service which BTMC offers has allowed it to gain the confidence of the riding public, this has also resulted to BTMC being requested to provide a taxi line in the countries premiere shopping malls such as the Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Mall and Robinson’s Galleria to name a few.

Our corporate clients have also enjoyed a remarkable growth.  To date, BTMC provides taxi service to Expats of Branders.com and ADB, employee’s of Meralco, Pfizer, the French Embassy, Gaintel Corp., Wealth Academy, Manila International School, Panasonic, ARENCO, Geiser and San Miguel Properties, residents and visitors of Essensa and Renaissance 2000, shoppers, visitors and employees of East Wood City among others.

Aside from being known for its efficient and worry free transport service, BTMC is also known as an environment friendly company, being the first Taxi Company in Metro Manila to use Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to power its vehicles.  As a prime mover for Auto LPG use for vehicles, BTMC has also expanded its business into operating a number of Auto LPG refilling stations within Metro Manila.
